Tewaaraton Part Two

Here's Ava with award finalist Taylor Cummings from U of Maryland. Two hours after this photo was taken last night, Cummings won the award for the second straight year.

She and Ava have the same....tailor, it would appear.




Tewaaraton!

Ava and I along with two close friends attended the 15th annual Tewaaraton Award ceremony last night, recognizing the year's best male and female college lacrosse player. Held at the Smithsonian's Museum of the Native American, it included displays of traditional sticks, meet & greets with the award finalists, and a ceremony honoring past luminaries, the religious roots of the sport, new scholarship recipients, and Native American traditions.

Ava's Last Pickup from the School Bus Stop

Ava (far right), had her last grade school bus trip today. This was taken right after the girls were picked up from the bus stop. Judianne came up from Richmond for a visit and was on-hand for the auspicious occasion.
