Teepee Dinner

Yet another happy coincidence this weekend was that it also marked Bram and Monica's tenth wedding anniversary.

So it just made our planned teepee dinner all the more special. Joining us were Char's cousin Janet, her daughter Sophie (featured in earlier Vail photos), and Janet's mother-in-law Lynne, who lives in Santa Fe.

Zia Diner and Canyon Road

Canyon Road in Santa Fe is lined with art galleries and after dinner at another Santa Fe institution, Zia Diner, we scored a great parking space and walked the Road, checked out galleries, and listened to Native American music.

Breakfast Burritos at Indian Market

Since Bram moved to Santa Fe too many years ago, he has always spoken highly of the Breakfast Burrito. Charlene, Ava, and I tried our first today, upon arriving at Indian Market. The good news is they are great; the better news is I got to finish Ava's.

From there, it was on to the vendors at Indian Market, which were full of pottery, jewelry, art, sculpture, clothing and more--all crafted by Native Americans.

"Ever Hear of...Origami?"

At the end of the Art of Gaman exhibit, visitors can learn to make origami cranes. Here is a display wall designed by Monica, and everyone trying their hand at making cranes themselves.
